I want to hold the hands that knew such misery,
And though the snows have fallen on your red-gold hair,
I want to run my fingers through it silken strands,
To let you know the joy of love’s security.
Hold fast, Nelly.
Even through years,
I will make my way to meet you when the rage runs dry.
So far, Nelly,
Like sea and sky.
Tranquil waters kiss the sinking sun when dusk is nigh.
I’ll steel you from that laberinth of darkest pain,
And when the world is ours, your hand I’ll press in joy,
imploring you with words of love to stay with me,
Embracing all the splenders in this life again.
Hold fast, Nelly.
Even through years,
I will make my way to meet you when the rage runs dry.
So far, Nelly,
Like sea and sky.
Tranquil waters kiss the sinking sun when dusk is nigh.
Um, wasn't this your second post on your other thread?
Yes, it was. I'm putting all poems relating to that particular girl in the accordingly named folder as a sort of anthology, but I'm giving them their own threads so people will see them. They might not click on one title where as they would on another. Thus, more comments. Make sense?
Sort of. Still like it though.
Thanks. I'm glad.
this one's a bit short for my tastes but it's good.
